Is it pet friendly?

Sorry NO pets allowed. No exceptions. There is not a safe closed outdoor area due to direct access to acreage in the backyard which is only divided by a barbed wire fence where pets could escape. 

What are the check out times?

Check in 2pm, Check out 10am. This gives time for our cleaner to come and do her thing in between guests. We can let you know if a late check out is available.

What are your booking T&C's?

We offer refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.

Can I do part payments?

We are just setting this up, so very soon yes 🙂

Do you have long stay discounts?

Yes! We offer an extra 10% discount for stays over 5 nights.

Can I lock up my boat or Jetski?

Yes. We have a closed roller door single car garage  (dimensions TBC)

What are the house rules?
  • No parties or events
  • No pets allowed
  • If you break or notice something is missing please let us know so we can arrange to replace it
  • No smoking allowed on the property
  • 10pm quiet time
  • Please don’t move the furniture around
  • Clean up after yourself
Food and drink supplies

Please come prepared with food and drinks for your stay. Somerset Dam is fairly isolated and the closest grocery shops are either Kilcoy, Esk or Toogoolawa which are around 20 mins drive away. 

The retreat is located right near the Somerset Dam General Store, which has meals and grocery essentials. They also do Friday and Saturday night dinners. The Caravan park also has a few essentials if need be. 

Don’t forget to bring some Nespresso compatible coffee pods 🙂

Where do we get firewood from?

You can buy firewood from the General Store or from the caravan park for around $20 a bag. You can also walk around the town area and pick up some sticks from the ground for kindling.

Are toiletries provided?

Yes, such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, shampoo & conditioner, laundry detergent, etc..

No to tooth brushes and toothpaste.

Who has access to the accommodation?

Only those who have paid for the use of the property will have access, unless there are issues that need to be addressed and you will be asked before entry.

What is the noise level like in the area?

It’s a very quiet town, unless there is a wedding at Coronation Hall (you won’t hear it from the property). You may hear some truck and trailers drive past but that’s about it. Maybe some bird life at sunrise and sunset.

Do I have to pick up keys to the property?

Our property is fitted with a key safe and you will be given your unique code to access the safe when you have paid in full and on your arrival day.

Do you have a minimum night’s stay?

Yes, our property has a minimum two-night stay.

Is linen provided?

Yes, bed linen and towels are provided.

Is there a cot and highchair at the property?

Basic cot and highchair can be provided on request but are not stored at the property.

Can my friends and I make a booking for schoolies?

Sorry, that’s a hard NO!

Is there a maximum number of people who can stay at the properties?

Yes, only the number of people stated on the property website description are permitted to stay at the property. That’s 10 people.

Can I put a tent or caravan in the back garden for extra guests?

No, your extra family and friends can book the caravan park over the road.

What shall I do if something breaks during my stay?

We understand that accidents do happen. Please report all accidents to us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue before our next guests stay.
